Meet our Friendly Vets

Lloyd Wilkie
Lloyd graduated to Kaitaia in late 1984, and has practiced here ever since apart from 4 years working overseas and in Whangarei. Special interests : Dairy and beef practice, and small animal orthopaedics. Hobbies : Fishing, diving, hunting, golf.

Paula Grant
Paula Grant graduated from Edinburgh University in 1990. She has always worked in rural mixed practice, with a particular interest in sheep and beef. She owned the vet clinic on the Scottish island of Islay where she learnt to appreciate great whisky, before spending 10 years farming and vetting in the Limousin region of France, where she learnt to appreciate great red wine! She now owns the Wairere Boulders in the Hokianga and works 4 days a week at the Kaitaia clinic.

Xian Koid
Koid completed his vet degree at Massey University in 2015. He enjoys the challenges of working in a rural practice, with the variety of cases on a day to day basis. When he is off work, Koid spends his time exploring the many coastal walks in the Far North and the great fishing that the area provides.
