Meet our Friendly Vets
Lloyd Wilkie
Hi I’m Lloyd. I graduated to Kaitaia in late 1984, and have practiced here ever since apart from 4 years working overseas and in Whangarei. My special interests are Dairy and Beef practice, and small animal orthopaedics. Outside of work, I enjoy fishing, diving, hunting and golf.
Xian Koid
Hi, I’m Koid. I completed my degree at Massey University in 2015, joined the Topvets team in 2016 after graduation and never looked back. I enjoy the challenges that comes with rural practice, where no two days are the same.
I have a depth of experience in both large and small animals but my passion lies in emergency medicine and soft tissue surgery.
Outside work, I can be found in my garden, entertaining friends or on walks at the local beach.
Chris Hopwood
Hi there, I am Chris. I qualified in 1984 in South Africa, where I had a practice for 8 years. I moved to New Zealand in 2003. I have been in rural practices most of my career. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and playing golf.
